Happy New Year!

What a blessing to start this year with you! Originally, we were going to have the director of Hope Pregnancy Center come down to us and show us their mobile unit. However, the director has ended up with covid, so we will be rescheduling for when she feels better.

We’re still planning on meeting tomorrow, though! We have lots of info for you and some exciting announcements, so you won’t want to miss! We are looking forward to seeing you at 9:30!

Wonder Woman on 10/02

Happy fall!!

Come up to church tomorrow morning for some great fellowship and encouragement from other Christ-minded women. Mary McCoy is speaking, so you don’t want to miss the opportunity to hear from her!

Remember, food and drinks are provided, so just bring your smiling self! Doors will open around 9:15, so come on in, grab a snack, and catch up with all the ladies. We can’t offer childcare, but don’t let that stop you from coming! Just know that we’ll all want a turn holding the babies 🙂

As of this moment, we are meeting in the café. If that changes, I’ll send out a notice in the morning.

If you have questions, you can reach out to me (Hillary): 405-694-9457 (if you text, don’t forget to tell me who you are).

I look forward to seeing all of you tomorrow!

03/07/2020 Recap

Hayley Sanders gave our devotional today over Leah’s story in Genesis 29 and 30. She read from the Jesus Storybook Bible, which takes the whole Bible and paraphrases it into a story-like format. It offers a unique approach to Scripture, helping it to come alive as an actual story and showing how everything in the Bible relates to Jesus and His redemption of the world.

Leah’s story teaches us that the world’s standards of beauty and worth are backwards. God does not love us because we are beautiful. We are beautiful because God loves us. Leah may be been rejected by Jacob, but she was blessed by God with many sons, one of which was Judah (whose name means “this time I will praise the Lord”), and he was the ancestor to David, and, ultimately, Jesus.

God chooses those who are considered inferior in order to showcase his power and sovereignty over this world (1 Corinthians 1:27). As we read through His story, we see how He wove His power through all of the “heroes” of the Bible. It is exciting to know that we have access to the same power and that He has chosen to work His miracles through us!
